Being tired of frozen and broken plastic pieces, we went in a slightly different direction. Our tunnel racks are tossed in a ceramic media which reduces sharp edges. Our can strap consists of 2 powder coated aluminum "washers" that fit into our tunnel rack. Once each piece is pushed through a triangle, the slack is then removed by tightening using the aluminum cinch buckle. Nothing to freeze, no plastic pieces to break. The strap weighs roughly 3 ounces.
