Most of our shipping is done through a Canadian courier called Canpar. With this system, we are able to ship throughout Canada and the US (lower 48), and sometimes into Alaska and other places depending on the product. As most of our product is now considered dangerous goods (lithium batteries in lights, charges in signal kits, flammable goods in matches), we need to send these ground and with a courier. If products are going across the border, please allow up to 10 business days for delivery as customs can be sometimes painful.
Confirmation of Shipment
Because we utilize your information in the shipping process, you will receive an email from Canpar once your package is shipped. This confirmation lets you know your package is on its way, as well as provides you with a tracking number as to its whereabouts. As always, if you ever have any questions, please feel free to give us a shout at any time and we will gladly look into it for you.
Our shipping charges are set up to recover the cost of the shipping. Sometimes one small product may seem expensive to ship, but this is what we are charged. You may also notice that 2 items may not change the shipping cost as it may not cost much more because of the weight. If we overcharge our shipping by more than $5, we will refund the shipping difference. We are here to sell an honest product for an honest dollar, not to make money off of the shipping.
We apologize if our shipping policy offends you, but we utilize your email and phone number in the shipping process, especially shipping to the US. Nothing solves a misplaced parcel faster than having contact information on it. Without it, shipping companies are sometimes lost and parcels suffer huge delays in shipping, or just don't get delivered. For Americans, parcels go across the border fairly quickly when they have contact information for the person buying something... or at least it seems that way for us.
